Is it me or does this new IS look a lot like a slight improvement of the Pontiac G6? Even so the old IS looked much Better.

tustin lexus's internet dept. will sell them for $500 over invoice. at least that's what i got quoted. and for all you people saying the lexus is better than the 330. you guys are sorely mistaken, have any of you owned a BMW? because i own an E60 M5, an E39 540i, and traded an E46 330Ci ZHP for my S2000.... bottom line, my BMW's are all more reliable than my Honda has been in 6 months of ownership. all cars have problems. reliability means nothing to me in a car.

Y2ks, people like you are why Lexus doesn't "get it" when it comes to a driver's car. Because you'll buy a flying barcalounger and say "look at my sporty car!" The original IS300 was a better driver's car, as mentioned by someone else, but you just wouldn't know about that.
Keep those blinders on and full steam ahead. With the 335 out what is a fanboi like you going to say now? "Should've had a turbo?" "Wait for the IS500!" Sh'yeah.

People need to realize Lexus and BMWs are entirely two different type of vehicles. Lexus are geared more towards luxury and are designed to make the driver/occupants feel more isolated from the road while most of the German manufacturers engineer the car to make you feel "connected" to the road. BMWs have the edge in sport while Lexus is geared more towards Luxury. HP numbers aren't everything, a simple test drive will show you the cars are entirely different. Ownership will obviously show even more of a difference.

remember that old Lexus LS400 commercial where they said something like: If you want to feel the road you know it's there. Then the guy stops his LS400 in a windy canyon road and steps his foot out onto the pavement and "feels" the road. Then he drives away in his LS400. It was one commercial I will never forget along with the champagne glasses on the running hood of the LS400.

I do listen. I'm always channeling Steve C to balance your Lexus fanboi-ism. Read me closely and you'd know I'm no big BMW fan. I want Lexus to improve their offerings toward 'sporting' and you represent the satisfied customer who stands in the way of that.
