Lexus is350
Went to the local dealer to see the new is 350, pictures doesn't do it justice. It looks great in person. How come a 40k car doesn't come with HID lights? WTF is Lexus thinking? I thought only BMW does this, but now Lexus too!! I am going to wait for a couple of months when they start offering the Mark Levinson option to consider buying it. Right now the salesman said they are going on MSRP. Isn't the new IS a mass produced car? If Lexus expects to increase the current IS sales for over 600 percent they better start to negotiate the prices!

Since it is so new and they have quite a few people who have been waiting for it to come out, I doubt they will be selling under MSRP for a while.

Why no six speed manual? I thought the IS 350 was supposed to be a "Sport Sedan?"

Preposterously enough, HID is not standard on most supposedly high-end brands: Lexus, BMW, MB, Porsche (including 911).
Give it a few months, they will come off MSRP just as the IS300 did.

Saw it this past weekend in person also...very nice and elegant looking. The leather in the 350 was very soft and the cabin feels larger than in the IS300. I also saw the monsterously huge brakes on the IS350. I think they should have painted at least silver w/ the Lexus logo on them, as being a "sports sedan" and competing w/ others in that category, all their competitors that have nice brakes show them off and use them as a marketing/sales item. I've got time until I'm seriously in the market for one, but at that point, it'll be between this an and SUV. Have to decide if I want to utility or the luxury.
Also, the $110k (more actually w/ markup) AM V8 Vantage has optional HIDs.

Which means that the 350 will have it next year.
