It's so ing retarded to label someone that prefers a particular automobile a "fanboy".

So what kind of fanboy are you? Is QUIKAG a GM fanboy because I sure as hell didn't label him one?

When was the last...make that first time you ever saw an NSX commercial in the U.S.? That's what I thought.

What am I talking about in terms of build quality? Go find me a pic of a C5 odometer with 350k+ miles on it.

How deep did you have to reach to pull that $100k figure out of your ass?

Last time I checked, on ebay and through the nsx forum because I do research and don't play GT4 and watch F&F all day dumbshit, they were going for ~$72k brand new.
I didn't label you a fanboy, I said I've seen them use that same argument as an excuse for the car's crappy sales numbers. I don't think the lack of marketing is exactly what is killing the NSX's sales, you'd have trouble finding someone who didn't know what an NSX was. I've never seen a Ferrari commercial either, but you have to wait on a two year list to buy one of those. I don't think I'd label QUIKAG as a fanboy as he just bought an S2000, and he's had nothing but good things to say about it thusfar other than it's not a straight line rocketship, because well...it's not. I've seen countless posts from you however taking every opportunity to bash the shit out of the (insert domestic here). If I've mistaken you for someone else with a similar username...sorry. I didn't have to reach far to pull that figure out of my ass, Acura has them stickered for 89,000+destination...that's pretty much "near $100K". If you want to start talking about what you "can get them for" then you may also want to rethink some of your poor resale value arguments against the vette as no one pays MSRP for those either other than the early adapters.

Clearly, in a subtle way, you were definitely calling me a fanboy.

You have to be kidding with regards to NSX awareness. Go to the forums at nsxprime and see how many threads there are about people still being asked to this day at the gas station and such what kind of car they're driving.

They turn up about as often as AP1 vs AP2 threads do on this forum. PLENTY of people still don't know what an NSX is.

Wait...so you've seen "countless threads" of me bashing domestics yet in your next sentence you're not so sure? Let me save you the trouble of a search by letting you know that you definitely have me confused with another poster here. I owned an 02 Z28 prior to selling it for the S so I'm very qualified to make GM vs. Honda build quality comments.

And no I don't need to adjust the figures I stated earlier because if you would do the actual research yourself before commenting you would've realized already that my "poor resale arguments" were constructed by using the invoice price of the Corvette and a $75k figure for the NSX.

Like you said yourself...who in their right mind would pay MSRP for a GM car.

Apparently about as many as there are willing to pay ~72,000 for an NSX.

Sorry, the opening you left was just too good and I couldn't help myself.

That was good. We need to add some more humor to this thread.

Seriously though I'm curious to know how much an NSX and Z06 sells for in Japan in U.S. dollars. If it's $60k-70k there instead of the $50k here would that make the Corvette the more overpriced joke?

I don't know, I have heard people from overseas repeatedly say they aren't as good a value there, but in an odd (and predictable) twist they are rare and elusive there though. I would guess the Z06 models -if available??- would still represent a heck of a performance bargain, I mean look at the numbers they put up (and the cars those numbers compare to), but maybe the base model wouldn't be quite so attractive.

Would you please remove your pointless drivel from this thread?

You're ignorantly insulting anyone on the forum right now that may have an individual with down syndrome in the family.

Maybe true, but then I'd guess a lot of people are in it just for the banter back and forth as much as they are trying to "win" the argument, I know that's what I like about internet showdowns.
