Yeah, I feel quite indignant myself when I read non-S2000 topics in this forum called "Car Talk - Discussions and comparisons of cars of all makes and models." </sarcasm>

I have no such plans. Your point, I assume, is that a person should not discuss or otherwise be interested in a car you cannot, or have no intention of, purchasing? Does that apply to yourself, being on s2ki? When are you planning your S2000 purchase? Or is that NOT your honest point and you're simply trolling?
Does it make you feel better that the OP is posting because (or so he claims?) that his friend IS planning on purchasing some such car?

clarkson loved his superleggera
But back to lambos.
Yes they have gobs of power but my friend and I felt there was some "disconnect" with the road. It was an 06 Gallardo SE BTW and perhaps the AWD has something to do with it.
Basically they remind me of those "bling bling" items (ex diamond encrusted teeth, gazillion inch chrome lexani rims, etc) which while they are expensive, are also incredibly tacky
Now the GT3 RS and stradale were great. Sitting in the stradale, even at low speeds, gave me goosebumps
I can dream

The Gallardo may not feel as much a pure driving machine as the GT3 RS or Challenge Stradale, but there's also an upside to this. It is undboubtedly the better car for GT duty. Also, on an unfamiliar twisty road I'd put my money on the Gallardo to cover ground quicker than either the Porsche or Ferrari. Add rain and it would be game over for the other two cars. The Gallardo has strong bling, but it also delivers the goods.
Another reason to buy an early model Gallardo is mod potential. UGR has built a Gallardo that runs the 1/4 in 9.1 @ 169mph!!
Having said all this, I'd still take the Challenge Stradale over the Gallardo.

it is all a matter of personal opinion obviously but i have always maintained the following:
Ferrari - you are rich, sophisticated, and drive with the same level of passion you make love with.
Lambo - you are newly rich, need something to show that you are, and go to the gym a lot.
Porsche - you are probably german or recognize their engineering OCD, enjoy the finer things in life, but wear jeans and a polo 90% of the time.
911 gt3 or f40 thank you very much
