Sorry, the convertible Vette has never been a contender of an S2K, both in price and performance. It has always been the Z3/4, Boxster, 350Z roadster, etc. (which are contenders of the S2K).
I love the new looks of the C6, it's like a world of difference compared to the C5, with its ugly, extremely old-looking lights. Other things are also upgraded, esp. the interior and power. I wouldn't mind owning one, but I've never been a fan of any Vette, so I wouldn't buy one.
For the price, I'd look into the Boxster S.

I agree. Id also take the Boxster anyday over that. In no way is it ever a contender to Honda quality and Reliability. Something GM hasnt and probably wont ever be able to grasp.

Yeah, it's not like the Corvette hasn't won a few JD Powers Best Premium Sportscar In Initial Quality awards. It failed to win in 2003, but it was beat by the Mercedes SLK. No shame there, IMHO. I didn't see the S2000 anywhere on the list, not that that makes the S2000 a crappy car by any means, but obviously not up to the quality of Chevrolet factories, like it or not.
