Glad they dusted off that made-up record that Ferrari set. Still, the metric for "production based" cars is pretty loosely defined and there's plenty of silhouette racers still to come, like the entire GT2 class from Le Mans for instance.

I mean this respectfully, but you are using the term "silhouette race car" improperly. The ALMS GT2 cars are actual production cars that are modified into race cars. A silhouette car would be the like the tube frame RX8s or Pontiac G6s of the Grand Am Series.
