i think it's great that design and build quality is improving on the KIA, but i'll still stick with one of the larger mainstream companies like Toyota or Honda, hell even Ford. It's just means these other companies will have to step up their game and give us better cars, and you know they will, cause they have the mula for R&D.

like ive said before, ill wait till AFTER kia/hyundai proves themselves worthy, to consider buying a car
anyones basic rule should be to never buy ANY car the first year they come out, look at the MY00 S2k compared to the MY02, and the AP2 for that matter, have you actually seen the list of things theyve revised? its a long list.
And that is with our almighty mother Honda.
They need a few years to get all the kinks out of any new car. But these people that are on their knees 'O' faced with hyundai need to quit kidding themselves.
Yes, they are taking a step in the right direction
But cmon, do you really think the same company that built the cars that gave them the bad reputation just woke up one day, and improved the build quality, improved the reliability, etc. etc. with their new Genesis?
I hope they did. But ill let other people do the test driving for the first couple of years. These cars havent been out long enough to rack up enough miles to show their mechanical problems yet.
..that felt good

I'm not that impressed, its another civic knock off. Kia should have offered more of anything (speed, power, luxury) at the same price point as civics. There's no incentive to buy it over the proven civic, corolla, SE-R, VW GT-i.
Go ahead and argue price, but I'd be willing to pay a few $$$ more for the proven product in that class.
g/l Kia
