I spent the last month driving around a friend's Audi Q5 and that dash looks mighty familiar.

It's because Audi's old designer is now with Kia.

Its really needs to dump the Sportage wheels though.

I was on the fence and almost bought a Kia Sorrento a couple weeks ago.

In retrospect after purchasing a Toyota, I am glad I did. The difference in the interior quality of the materials was well worth the few tthousand price difference. And I just happened to see 2 broken down in the time since I walked away from them. Not saying they were crappy, but I took it as a sign.

And they announced a recall of them for headlights bursting into flames yesterday.

But yeah, the car looks decent if the price is right.

I think the new Sportage I saw at the dealler was a nice cheap trucklet.

Maybe, but better looking than an Accord for sure. And I'd say a Lancer in the front end too but it's a handsome design. And a 274 HP direct injected turbo inline 4 cyl that gets 34 MPG highway and 22 City ain't bad. If they had only put the drive wheels on the proper end of the car it would be a car worth considering.

I have a feeling this is Hyundai's new mantra:
