That's the "typical" gross generalization toward American products. As if the new BMW, many Audi, Honda, and Lexus cars are not (typically) heavy these days?

So much for the Challenger NOT being collectible.
The very first production Challenger built is slated to be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson. VIN's #2 and #3 are going to be auctioned off as well.

If this isn't a sign of a future collectible, I don't know what is. When was the last time a Honda S2000 was auctioned off?

I think heavy is relative to how the cars feel and react. A 350Z's weight is comparable to a Mustang GT but the feel and agility between the 2 is embarrassing. American automakers have something against putting R/D into their suspensions for the under $60k market. A Vette, Viper, or Ford GT are the only American car's I'd buy as well. Give me the Vette first and foremost! FWIW, this is coming from someone who was raised on Fords.
My bad. You are an expert, and we should all respect your comments, as you have extensive time behind the wheel and surely have an objective opinion, right?
FWIW, the 350Z has an independent rear suspension. The Mustang does not. They feel different. But if you learn to drive, the difference is minimal. Of course, why learn to drive a car? Who does that these days?
