Guess the guy had either a Borla or Magnaflow. Stepped on it a little. Sounded great with the exhaust bouncing off the buildings downtown. Sweet machine.

There was a black Charger SRT8 at a autocross I was at 2 weeks ago. Very badass-looking in black. The stock exhaust is quite loud. So what you saw might not have been aftermarket.

It's a pretty mean looking car, but they could have made it better. If I wanted a 4-door Hemi car I would get a 300 or a Magnum. The Charger should have been a smaller coupe.

yea i was driving in LA traffic next to a 300 srt8. thing was crazy, i could feel the ground rumbling just driving next to him at 5 mph for 45 minutes.

the recent wave of american cars are nothing short of disappointment, IMO.

Well, I agree I'm not crazy about the recent wave of american cars. However I must say that Chrysler has really turned things around--in fact I'd say that they've kind of set the standard for direction of styling. The retro looking stuff is all the rave--just not my cup of tea at all though. At least the styling is better than the balloon-cars that Chrysler and GM were making back in the 80s-90s.

I really think they took the cheap route when designing the charger--it isnt distinctive at all, and should've been a 2 door. I will say that I would be interested in a Challenger--that thing looks pretty cool.

the interior of the charger is a very large disappointment. cheap plastic-y feel, with crappy brushed-aluminum look stickers everywhere. I remember that alot of the crap stickers had gouges and were peeling off already.

very very cheap.

Yeah, I realize that... but so is the Camaro, and that's smaller than the Charger, and also 2-door (That is what I was getting at). The Charger is just a beefed up grocery-getter, that's all... which is why it's a let down.

If the Challenger is anything like the pictures that are floating around of it, I would be all over that.
