Put the heavy guy on the bike...Second gear...he should "drop" himself on the bike as he pops the clutch for rear tire traction. If you're by yourself, it can be done, but with much more difficulty. Of course have him squeeze the clutch right away after it starts.
I think second gear is the key ingredient here.

I roll down my driveway (any hill will do) with the clutch in with the tranny in 1st gear then pop the clutch out about halfway down; this usually works (the owner's manual does recomend against it though, I use it to start the bike after winter storage when all else fails).

FYI...I had problems starting my bikes after winter storage until I got smart and ran the gas out before putting them away. I have never had one not start in the spring since.

Sorry - I guess my shot at being cornily humorous wasn't successful. <sigh> I try....oh, how I try. Someday, I will succeed!

Okay. Now I feel better about myself. I was contemplating eating myself into a stupor until I read your post. Thanks for keeping me from the edge!

well my bike is parked in an underground garage, so in order to roll it down something, i'd have to push it up a steep driveway first. lol.
i ended up jumping it with jumper cables like a normal car. worked like a charm.
