when Honda/Acura gets 2 of the biggest car nuts around(especailly Leno) to promote something the end result(even if in 2014) better be a real car. I also believe that there would be no ads nor a car on the Acura homepage if there was no intention on production. Jerry S is a car nut but really into Porsche over most others. I will guess this cars production at less than 1200 built per year. The first NSX only saw about 4000 or so worldwide for the entire run, 1991 to 2004/5?? 3381 made it to the states as new cars, plus some have been imported.

I think your numbers are off. From what I've read (which may be wrong) they sold some 17,000 NSXs altogether.

Personally, I though the Ferris Bueller commercial was retarded, but this one makes good use of the star power of Leno and Seinfeld.
