Throwing such a high-profile commercial out there pretty much means they're past the point of no return with this thing, which excites me. Also, the celebrity endorsement is pretty novel.

I *hope* that Jerry and Jay are backing it because they think it's gonna be awesome.

Honda is going to run a two minute ad during the Superbowl for a product it doesn't even sell yet? At least we know where the development budget for the next S2000 went...

haha. i understand your frustration, but i think the ad will only be 60 seconds when it airs.

Hah I saw that. Sorry about that. I figured the old thread was dying and more specific to the original unveiling.

I agree with some of you that this makes the car more tangible. We've heard so many rumors of it, but now that we're seeing mainstream celebrities (car nuts at that) already calling it the Acura NSX, and this amount of money and publicity going into it, it's bound to happen. But this is also a way to really market the brand in general. But it doesn't appear we'll see this thing until 2014 as a 2015 model. That's my thought on it. It's exciting nonetheless.
