Jeep SRT8 cherokee? 0-60 <5 seconds!
hahaha.. I love power wars..... between this and the new SS Trailblazer (corvette engine) they both move!!!
Grand Cherokee SRT8 Most Powerful Jeep Ever
Powered by a 415-horsepower 6.1-liter HEMI V8, the Grand Cherokee SRT8 is the quickest Jeep ever produced, capable of accelerating from zero to 60 mph in under 5 seconds.
The first Jeep to receive performance upgrades from Chrysler's Street and Racing Technology (SRT) team, the Grand Cherokee SRT8 includes a specially developed all-wheel-drive system.
In addition to the HEMI, the Grand Cherokee SRT8 gets optimized for balanced performance with SRT-tuned shocks, unique sway bars, special spring rates, and revised suspension bushings. The ride height of the Grand Cherokee SRT8 is one inch lower than the Grand Cherokee, which adds to the aggressive stance and actually reduces aerodynamic drag.
"Jeep vehicles lead the way in performance and versatility," said Jeff Bell, vice president of Jeep in the Chrysler Group. "The all-new 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 adds a new dimension to performance and versatility

Predictable and lame IMO. Gas can't be burned quick enough apparently.
Pretty soon everyone will have 400hp and then such things will be boring. I'd still much rather have a car with 400hp than a top-heavy truck, lowered or otherwise.

As if owning an SUV isn't ridiculous enough in itself (if you want room and versatility, why not buy a wagon/minivan?), now we have 5000 lb vehicles that can accelerate that fast? I pity the sportscar/sedan driver who's broadsided by the soccer mom driving that thing.
Back to the Jeep...I can't see the reasoning behind these gas guzzling SRT cars. The 300 C SRT, Charger SRT, and this all have gas guzzler status. I guess people think gas is going to go back down one day? Do they read the news paper? I guess global economics and politics fly right over their heads.

Calling SUV's dumb because of their fuel consumption while driving a car that can only carry two people and gets worse gas mileage than some SUV's is just ing stupid.
