Are you a pretty well off individual? Not trying to get into your personal life, but these cars are not cheap to maintain.

No a civic or something easy to work on would be a good way to start, if you wanted to become a mecanician (mechanic, i assume).

The correct spelling is "mechanician". All of the cars you listed are going to be work. I'd imagine the MR-2 would require the least work overall. Also, the R32 GT-R idea will be your most expensive option, and by a long shot.

I say, if you want to become a mechanic/mechanician, try a cheap, fun platform like an A3 (chassis, not car) or A4 GTI. VW GTIs are fun cars, and cheap to get a hold of. They also handle well, are pretty light, and can be modded in so many ways.

mr2 turbo might be the most reliable, but it has the smallest space to work with. it took my brother and i one day to get the alternator out just because there was literally milimetters of free room in the engine bay.

i;ll go with the mr2 turbo. mid engine rear wheel. should be the cheapest as well =]

The rotary would be kinda difficult, seeing as its a rare motor, but the most satisfying when all is running well.

If you want to become a mechanic I would choose the FD. That way you get use to spending hour after hour after hour under the hood. Build up that stamina.
