Jaguar XK120 top speed run
About 5 years ago a Jaguar XK120 ran a top speed run I think that it was at the Bonneville salt flats it was nicely restored a dark colour (black, blue, green?), had a transparent bubble top and was tweaked to go as fast as possible (high compression, gears, etc).

Thanks for the reply Elistan my problem is that your post refers to the STANDARD car when it was run in 1949!
This run was around 5 years ago. It was a top speed run in a clear area like the salt flats not on a public road and the car was fitted with a clear perspex canopy. From memory the speed was around 175-187mph. I think that it was in an English old timer magazine.
Anyone?
