A coworker was telling me that she has a Jspec D15b2 stage 3 vtec engine in her car. I was trying to figure out exactly what IT is and any information I can give to her about it. She is having engine problems and the dealership is having issues of some sort (i have no idea) working on it oslt. THanks!

D15B2 is a non-VTEC motor from the 88-91 EF Civic. The only D series VTEC was the D15B, JDM only. Maybe she did a Frankenstein, D15 block with B16 head?

It says VTEC on top of the engine... so I would suppose then that it is the D15B engine? She said no frankenstein work here

Must be a D15B then, which would explain why the dealership is confused by it.
