It's Official, no longer sweetest car in garage..
At work we have some nice cars in our garage, 850CI, Boxter, E46 M3 Cab, and of course my new 350Z (def. the numba one stunna out of the group.) Anyway I pull into work today and what is sitting next to my spot. Just a 911 TT, no big deal. Damn. Turns out someone I work with just picked it up. Needless to say I will have impressions for you all soon (unfor. prob. only passanger side but oh well). That car is a BEAUT. Very lucky guy.

Yep, the 966 Turbo is a beauty. My friend (neighbor) has a got a yellow one. I'm sure you've seen him post on here as p996tt2k.
I'd give you my impressions from the passenger side, but you truly have to experience it for yourself My friend test drove one recently and was simply amazed...he drives a 400HP KO4 Turbo'd S4 (not slow).

My buddy just picked up a MINT '01 996 twin turbo in graphite grey (not sure what the exact color code is) but it's:
1. gorgeous
2. f**king fast!
3. stable as gibraltar
4. f**king fast!
5. amazingly comfortable
6. f**king fast!
It accelerates like it was hit by a train. He's planning on putting a chip and exhaust/intake to bump it up to 500hp. Oh boy oh boy

Yeah this is the same graphite gray, and the X package is basically a Porsche recognized Boost Controller. You are paying 10K to give yourself some serious up on the power ( I think it has new intercoolers as well as maybe new turbos???) and it doesn't void the warranty. Sweeeeeeeeeeet.

Nope, it retails for $17K, but yo u can talk them down. And it's a LOT more then 30hp. That is with keeping the boost stock, but it comes with a boost controller and you can easily put an extra 100HP on that car without ANY problems.

All new turbo cars have boost controllers ( ECU controlled), are you saying the X50 package gives you a user on the move adjustable one. If so Porsche will have a lot of blown motors. I find it hard to believe, correct me if i am wrong though.
