all the craigslist owners are usually modded out and been beat around.

The older 1 owner is what I'm looking for. However, they might not be internet savvy as a younger generation...

S2000 is hands down a better investment. It will hold it value a lot better and is more of a classic car.

Depends on where you live. I live on an island where there is about 20 S2000s.

When it comes to sportscars, cars that appeal to a direct group of enthusoasts tend to fair better with resale than cars that appealed to a broader audience.

I think the AP2 S2000 are holding their values very well. The 350z prices are all over the place.

Plus the 350z is way too common...almost like the Mustang

I don't know if I can agree w/ that. The cases you're thinking of probably have more to do w/ a relatively limited supply of cars appealing to the direct group of enthusiasts. Had Honda produced as many S2000's as Nissan did 350Z's, S2000 resale values would likely be even lower.

Solstice gxps, solstice coupes, gto, g8, ctsv, amg mercs, all relatively rare but resale not as good as their direct competition. Then you look at type rs vs dsms, or in the muscle car world mopars vs the competition these days.
But I agree with ya too, I guess what I'm trying to say is that tuere needs to be a cult following.

It's all about the balance of supply and demand. Can't really make any good insights based on production #'s w/o also factoring in desirability.

Naturally, it always comes down to supply and demand, I'm just commenting on the demand aspect of it as there are a lot of rare cars that no one cares about.
I also think that the s2000 benefits greatly from no better successor, it's direct competition being priced way higher.

Quick Reply: it's 2013, what has better resale value: S2k or 350z?
