Interesting trip to the Nissan dealership...
On my way home from work today, I stopped by the Nissan dealership to check out the new 350Z that was there. Right when I pulled in to the parking lot the 4-5 sales people on the lot surrounded me. 
Each of them had their own stupid remarks about the S2000 as they gather around my car. 
Some of the remarks that I remember:
"Bet you're here to trade in that Honda for the 350Z huh?"
"Haha the 350Z has way more HP, even more TQ, more room, and it doesnt have spongy steering response like the S2000!?!"
"The Z is much faster than your Honda!"
"It will obliterate the your S2000!"
At this point I was pretty annoyed at the way I was approached by the Sales people... What kinda comments are those??
After they're done with the yack yack yack, it was my turn and I proceed to lay the SMACKDOWN!
I said, "First of all my car has WAY more HP than the Z, and I bought it because it is a convertible, which is not an option offered for the 350Z. In a race my S2000 will walk the 350Z in straights and curves. I will race the your 350Z anyday for pink slip, hell I wouldnt mind having an extra car in the garage.
Sales:
"Aren't the S2000 rated at 240HP?"
Me:
"Yup, which is plenty to handle the 350Z, plus I have a turbo on top of that!"
one of the sales:
"I don't believe that!"
Me:
"Would you guys like to see for yourself?"
(I then popped the hood and showed them the turbo.)
Sales:
(Speechless)
Me:
"Would you still like to show me how the 350Z will obliterate my S2000?"
Sales:
(Still speechless...)
Me:
"Yeah, I thought so."
Basically my visit to the Nissan dealership ended there, laughin my a$$ off at the Nissan sales people on how retarded they look when found out how stupid they are.
By the way I have the Speed-Craft Turbo Kit set at 8psi running 100 octane unleaded.
I'm guessing I have a lil over 300+ HP to the wheels right now...

imagine, when the Z's on the market for a while, with some after market support
you walk into (any) Nissan dealer, the salesman pull the same crap, and you pop the hood, and then it's their turn to pop the hood on the Z to show you that they can stuff hair dryer in there as well

I'm an auto enthusiast. I stop by the Nissan dealership to check out the new Z car and all I got was lame remarks about my car, of which I had no intention of comparing with the Z being they are 2 different class of cars. So tell me Mr. Self-Righteous, what would you have done?

I went to check one out and one of the sales guys took me to the back to see the Z. After that I showed the S since de did know what the S was all about and he had respect for both cars.
In your case, I am sure it had to do with that training propaganda Nissan released to their sales force Nissan fanboys are getting a fat head that needs to be deflated.

One of the top rules in auto sales is never put down the customers trade.
