i honestly don't see why people are so brand loyal to mercedes. Honestly, step into the interior of a lexus ls430, and tell me it isn't one of the most supple feeling leathers there is in a car. Honestly, buttery smooth. Then step into anything benz, and you say, why am i wasting my time. Even the way the door handles feel is way better.

For last 7 years and 122K miles on ES300 I brought it to service (sic!) twice, both for timing belt change. Battery died once being propably the only non-japanese part

There were no "etc" It just did not break, or had anything worth bringing it over for warranty repair.
And yes, I beat every living pi$$ out of this car.
Oh, forgot, I brought it for alignment once - what a waste of money, after 100K alignment was perfect.

It is just a diffent vision of reliability. Lexus give rest assured ride for 15-20 years that rust and fall apart. Benz is (was?) rather built for longevity, with 50-100 years in mind. It will break you keep fixing it, you son keeps fixing it, your gandson....
