Wow...Honda continues to surprise me...

Still, only LEASE specials...and finally some APR incentives are back, but only the Civics. 3.9% for 60mos. Why would you put an incentive on a car like the Civic??

Um...these *are* the new offers...

Lease specials continue on select models...

No "special" APRs available in January.

Now in February, "special" APRs are available only on the Civics.

I'm really surprised there's nothing special on Ridgelines. Several dealers around here still have SEVERAL '08s and they are keeping the '09s in the back. I know before January, Honda had $8,000 OFF and 3.9% for 60 mos.

It isn't just Honda. All the manufacturers are hurting and need to get away from these crazy APR incentives. Before 9-11 had you ever heard of rates like these on cars? Now it seems to be the norm. They don't balance out on the budget anymore and they're going away.

Honda is just starting the trend. I bet you Toyota follows in February, followed by everyone else before the second quarter.

If you want to take advantage of really cheap money, buy a car now!
Raul - check out my original post in this thread.

The manufacturers are also banking on the US government allowing consumers to write-off their interest which allows them to not need to do low interest rates. That means they will be able to approve more loans because there is more income to offset the loans that go into default.

Honda and Toyota generally start the trends back toward less incentives - you watch - more will follow.

I saw that...back in Jan. But now we are in Feb and Honda brought back low APRs on the Civic. The Civic??

I mean...I guess it would make more sense to me on a Ridgeline, Pilot, Element...etc.

We were scratching our heads on why Honda just put a rate on the Civic as well.

Just like I was back in June when I bought mine and had trouble even finding a civic in stock at any dealer and gas was almost $4/gallon yet Honda was offering 1.9% for up to 60 months on civics.

Maybe inflation has something to do with it-It's damn near 0 right now. As the loans start maturing, lenders are getting paid back with inflated dollars (assuming inflation rises again, which it will.)
