Thumbs up Insight EX vs Fit Sport

One is a frugal hatch that runs on gas, the other, based on that hatch but with a battery. What would you get?

Insight. I really really like how the Fit looks but it has sooo little guts down low that once you fill it up with junk you have to rev it out to move out.
The insight isnt fast but Ive heard that the electric motor makes it feels like it has a bigger engine in normal driving

my FIT Sport manual is my DD. I didn't drive the Insight but have driven the Civic Hybrid and thought it felt like the car was studdering. FIT Sport is cheap, economical on gas, and lots of cargo space. Or wait until Honda releases Fit hybrid.

Fit Sport probably. Simpler to keep running in the long-term with less electronic gadgetry. Unless you drive many, many, many miles... the Fit Sport will get the same job done.

I'd probably buy a used Accord instead, though.

insight, we're getting 55mpg and it has a little more power then the fit plus it has about the same overall space...granted it is a little more expensive as well but I feel it is worth it.

Fit Sport all the way. Better yet...wait for the hybrid Fit that is supposed to come in 2010....it's just rumor right now but knowing Honda and it's green march....it'll be here soon.

-> Honda Fit...hands down!

- 5 M/T
- Better cargo space
- Lighter
- More fun
- More affordable initially and long term

-> DONE!

I'd like a Fit Hybrid, but then there's supposed to be the CRZ.
