I have a MY05 RL, its been a good car. Not the fastest but its not horrible. AWD is a good thing here in OH. Comfortable, reliable (80k miles and I have maybe $2k into it, including oil changes and tires) decently roomy for 4, not cushy but certainly not like your current BMW.

As I mentioned in another thread, I just picked up an Infiniti M35X. Not the fastest thing in the road, but I am really impressed with how it handles like it's half the weight it is.
Might be worth a drive.

Thank you for the comments. My car is really fun to drive with a juice box tune. I'll definitely go test drive the other sedans out there and see. I'm restricted to automatic tranny only because it has to be drivable by the wife too.
I came across a for sale thread on 1addicts with a very mildly modified 135i and the car looks so nice (at least to me). I understand the 1 series is very ugly to a lot of people.
