You suck at driving then because a well-driven S2000 should be able to hang with or beat a G35, especially an automatic version.
ive raced one of these stick coupes and i did nothing but pull and i did pull hard in that same 30-40 roll

How many miles on your S2k?
Maybe at 5 years you're losing hp?
Clutch worn? Plugs dirty? Air filter shot?
I think most of us are suprised that the G35 is walking you so badly.
Maybe it's not your driving, but your car's performance at its age?

The milage is getting up there....its almost at 125K now. Plus I was thinking about it, it probably won't make such a HUGE difference but I do have a stereo system (subwoofer, box, amps) and larger 18" wheels. I guess the added weight and the age of the S may have something to do with the results. Damn I don't want a slow S2000!!!
makes a lot more sense, i dont think most of us were trying to fit your for a flame suit or anything. But as i and many of the rest of us have said, we like the g35 and have driven it or something similar(350z) but a stock s2000 should win a close race i could see the g35 wining a drivers race at best.

almost eveyr 1/4 and 0-60 time has the s2k beating out the g35, shit the 350z has better times than g35 and 350z and s2ktimes are same.
Heres what I think...YOu probably dont suck at driving but your car is broken. Get it fixed, somethign sounds wrong man. You dont lose to G35s like that unless you suck at driving or your car isn't running rught.

Check your car out to see if it's someting mechanical. Also you could try going agaisnt another pre-02 S2K as a performance benchmark.

(i am very current with maintenance schedule so it may be something beyond simple maintence..or maybe my car is just getting old)
