Nice thread.

I love the g35 coupe. Manual would be top of the line G35 too. Very nice. I still want one. Keep it in VTEC (over 6k) the whole time you are running with the g35, and see how you do.

well first off its not from a roll, but instead starting even on the highway going like 30 or 40

second off its a manual
Isn't a roll basically when your car/race is moving at ANY speed. When they are talking about "from the dig" that is when your car is stationery, you rev up, and drop the clutch. From a roll means you basically start from 5 mph on up. Second I would tend to agreewith many of the other posters here that something may be wrong with your car, as no way a G35 (which is even heavier than a 350Z Track) can beat you by 5 car lengths.

I have J.O. on the first 2 hunnies, numerous times, but I have yet to on the any in the group with the pink shirts

How many miles on your S2k?

Maybe at 5 years you're losing hp?

Clutch worn? Plugs dirty? Air filter shot?

I think most of us are suprised that the G35 is walking you so badly.

Maybe it's not your driving, but your car's performance at its age?

How many miles on the odo?

I almost bought a G35 coupe as well. I took it out for a test drive rigth after I bought my STi and right before I bought my S2000. They were still in high demand and didn't have any manuals instock. So I ended up taking out an automactic. I can tell you the automatic felt pretty weak and was most likely the reason I did not pursue it. I'm happy I ended up with my S2000 in the end.

It is possible for a G35 to pull on a S2000 (maybe) if they're over 100mph. I've seen the G35 coupe at 100.6 mph in the 1/4 mile. This from a slower car 0-60 but very close 1/4 mile. So it's possible the G35 pulls slightly on the S2000. But IMO it's not going to be dramatic so it's probably a "drivers race".

Also if you're from a slow roll in the S2000 like under 10mph in 1st gear, you have to wait a second before the power comes on. From a slow roll the G35 will be faster.
