Infiniti FX35 or Toyota 4-Runner?
Hey guys. I was wondering what you guys thought. They both look different, but I like both their looks. Give me some opinions please. Thanks

So the 4-runner will be better as a truck (towing, off road).
The FX will be better as a daily driver. IMO

The FX is def'n more performance oriented, albeit more pricey. For the price of a V6 pseudo-suv (the FX) you can purchase a V8 powered truck based SUV, and perhaps have a few dollars left over for a big tire upgrade. The FX can tow only 3500lbs ( I think), whereas the V8 'runner is rated at 7000lbs.
As a former and current Toyota truck owner, you can see where my loyalty lies.
Good luck with your decision; they are both great vehicles, and I would imagine that resale values, and quality will be impeccable no matter which you pick.

Do you want a truck, or a sports wagon?
The 4Runner is an excellent truck, and it serves it's intended audience well. It has a higher towing limit, larger cargo area, and other truck-like attributes.
The FX, however, is not really an SUV, but more like a tall G35 wagon thingy. The FX drives incredibly sporty, and will give many sports cars a run.
I know that you are probably saying, "That tall thing won't handle!". Well, I was completely amazed by the handling and responsiveness during a test drive. Car and driver managed to pull a .87g on the skidpad, and up until 2 months ago, it had the SHORTEST 70-0 braking at only 160 feet in their Road Test digest (beating BMWs, G35's, and even Porsche's!) , although the Evolution de-throned it at 155 feet, and 3 "supercars" (Saleen, Enzo, and Lambo) in the latest issue.
If you have a modest need for utility, and can live with the smaller cargo area, and 3500 lb towing, but love a performance car, the FX is the answer IMO.

For my requirements I'd go with the 4runner.
I need to tow things, I like to go off-road, those are two things the FX won't do.
Personally, I don't understand the minivan-ute segment, MDX, FX, etc. Why not just call it what it is, a jacked up AWD minivan?
Yet, the FX45 and Cayenne are two vehicles I really like the looks and performance of ...

Huh?!
Shouldn't you be comparing the Toyota with a Nissan Murano and the Infiniti with a Lexus RX300 or something?
The comparison just seems a little off-balance to me, but hey whatever floats your boat.
I vote for the FX.
