edit: a nice/wide wheel/tire mod with big brakes and a fresh, modern paintjob would do that car wonders in terms of style.

What's wrong with it? Looks like a fugly vacuum cleaner. How about that? Or how about that gruesome front bumper lip? Yeech.
I like a little form to go with my function. Looks like a wannabe Can-Am car.

Not to be an idiot and try to start a flame war, but I agree with you and think that anyone that owns an S2000 should too.
When you look at an S2000's numbers, torque, straight line speed, 1/4 mile times, the car is not all that impressive.
Hop in one, push it to its limits and it is a hell of a lot more fun than many cars that cost A LOT more and also ones that put up a lot better numbers.
I agree that a Ford GT is really cool, and I am one that would never consider a Vette or a Viper. It is not to say that there is anything wrong with either, in fact I think the new Vette is a great bargain and an awesome car. I am also pretty much a Ford hater, but I'd take a GT in half a second.
Just my $.02.

There are a lot of cars that are priced WAY to high when you compare them to numbers from lesser priced vehicles. Put a C6 Vette against most higher priced cars. An Evo/ STi/ SRT4 against the S, we can go on and on.
I feel the Ford GT is priced correctly and would buy one in a heart beat if I could afford it. If they only charged $35,000 for it, it would not be as special. You would see four or five a day.
