Default I'm planning on buying....

a used 2003 S2000 with 80,000 miles on it for $18000. Is that price too expensive or just about right for a car that new and with that many miles.
I'm going to go check out the vehicle this coming week so s2k'ers please tell me what you think.

Too high. That's about what I paid for mine, and it was an 02 with 37k miles.

I say it depends on the condition of the car, but if its really nice and clean and well maintained I say thats a decent deal. The actual condition of the car matter a whole lot more to me than what the odometer says. I've drive near 100k S2k's that feel more solid and are in far better condition that ones with as little as 5k miles. Actually, the worst S2k I ever drove only had 5k miles on it.

if you pay that much see if you can get the dealer or owner to buy you an extended warranty to at least 100k miles. I know mine paid for itself.

I sold my 2002 with 30000 miles for $20K 2 years ago with the Honda extended warranty. That price is definitely too high.

i think you sold too low. I got around 18.5k for my 2001 S2000 with 60k+ miles, but I had a hardtop and extended warranty. I sold it this year.

I don't think the price is that bad. It has higher miles, but it's a 2003. I would offer around 17k and try to get at least 1/2 of the extended warranty cost if it's a dealer.
