Just before the start of the MavTV 500 race, a parade of Corvette convertibles will do the driver introductions, with one driver in each car. My Vette will be one of the cars.

Lots of fun. One year we did it in Vegas with our S2000's.

Yeah that was the bad part. Up to that point it was great. Indy gave us pit passes and treated us well.


Whats really crazy is earlier in the day there had been a crash in that corner. I was talking to my driver on the lap and pointed out the where they had crashed in the AM. He looked at me like I was on crack.

As I was getting to my seat that was when Dan went up in fire. I have never seen so many people that quiet in my life. Dan seemed like a really great guy and if won that day he was going to share half his winnings with a fan.

I try to block it on because I remember him being put into the chopper and on the way someone remember to cover his face. I knew then he didn't make it

Yeah, I saw Greg Moore die in the CART race at California Speedway (now Auto Club Speedway) in 99. After that the Speedway was like a giant funeral.

We do this at Mid-Ohio, it is awesome and they hook us up with great tickets/parking for the weekend.
