I'm about an inch away from an '03 GSX 1000R. Somebody talk me out of it...

PFB,
Good luck with your descision, I hope you know what you are getting yourself into, especially never owning a sportbike before. I hope you know what "fast" is, because fast is a Gixxer1000. A z06 is not fast, a viper is not fast. Even a Ferrari enzo is not fast. A gixxer1000 is FAST. Buyer beware.
go gixxer go!!!

I have yet to own a car or bike that I didn't wish had *a little more* power. Perhaps the gixxer will cure me of that!
Of course at 8,000-10,000 feet where I typically ride, I'm down about 20% RWHP from you sea-levelers.

I just picked it up yesterday. It's the motorcycle of the year. Rookies stay away, for the rest of us only two choices, bluewhite or silver. I had the have the Suzuki racing colors. It's the smoothest injection I ever rode. Torque is amazing, power starts from idling. Can't wait to take it to the track. )))))))))
previous bikes: 98 ZX9R, 01 GSXR 750, 01 GSXR 1000, 01 GSXR 600, 02 R1.

I always thought, it'd be a cheaper setup and you'd use a lot less nitrous if you simply inhaled it rather than feeding it to the engine. Suddenly 15 miles per hour feels like 207
