You mean, you're not mesmerized by this dyno queen either?
600whp is like 12psi on a LS1/2, with a wicked powerband too. and as far as the GTR goes 600whp isnt impressive there either. a 600whp car with 22's is in itself a rolling irony lesson imho.

... I just can't understand/believe how someone can say 600whp is not impressive. Relative to what? The acceleration of a 1000cc+ super sport or an F1 car? I've been in a 512whp 97 impreza with a 05 sti drive train, and the launch of an awd car like that is awe inspiring if done correctly. I daily a 200+hp motorcycle that will clear 210mph and 600whp cars (more power than -any- ferrari ever built except maybe the FXX....) still impress me. I think some of guys play Gran Turismo too much. Otherwise post up all your 600+whp cars.

IMO, the reason 600 WHP is not impressive is because it's been done over and over again on previous generations of GT-Rs and ass loads of other cars. Being that the R35 is already much more powerful stock, 600 WHP is even less impressive for a "tuner" who's bragging about being at the forefront of development for the GT-R.
Who cares if I don't have a 600 WHP car. Doesn't mean I couldn't get one if I wanted one. I can still have an opinion. So can everyone else. If my "business" was a dyno-queen GT-R, I would never make a promotional video with "only" 600 WHP.

You may be a millionaire who is an expert at tuning GTR's, but I doubt it.

Really? I thought you just threw money at the car and it magically turned into HP. No shit development is involved, and I never claimed the car was unsatisfactory. I said "who cares", it's "only" 600 WHP – and I will say it again, it's not impressive because it has been done before.
You think my opinion has no substance? Who decides when HP is unusable? You think 600 WHP is the threshold of usable? LOL. OK speed racer. Good luck using all that power on the street. Usable power is moot anyway for dyno queens.
FWIW, I'd give much more credit to this car if it were an individual's car, and not a tuner's.

yes there are more than one way to make power, but i think the import crowd forgets that big horsepower isnt new, cars have been fast and making 500+ hp for the last 50yrs almost.
so yes, count my unimpressed. as crazy at it may seem. on forums like ls1tech 600whp is litterally childs play, just a D1SC and exhasut away on a ls1 car. maybe im failing to make my point. i dunno.

uncle's 850 horsepower boat huh.. that's 'unique'.
Neither of you posted your 600whp rides, despite it being 'child's play', so your point wasn't made convincingly to me, but I've lost interest in this "discussion".
I'm not purposefully trying to be a dick but it's a little comical to here people claim what a joke 600whp is, considering I am not aware of more than a few million dollar super cars that achieve that goal. I've also done a lot of drag racing at a few different tracks and very few street driven cars, like the GTR mentioned apparently is, put down 600whp, much less efficiently. The z06 did change that to some degree but that's the exception, not the rule.
