Your invention is related somewhat to a feature I predict may come about should electric cars and really quiet hybrids become overwhelmingly popular around the world, displacing gas vehicles on a large scale.

Let's face it: we're all going to absolutely miss the sound of an American V8, or a Ferrari screamer, or a revvy 4-cylinder when the ICE goes the way of the Dodo. People will quickly tire of the simple tire thrum that is the only sound their car will produce by design. So, to fill the gap, people will want a device that recreates the sounds of an ICE, preferably something powerful-sounding.

This still sounds like a very ricer proposition though, and maybe the transition will be slow enough that people will lose their taste for the sound of a performance engine.
