Default I was told a stock WRX can rev to 11,000RPM's

It all Started when I was Driving my dads F-350 with the 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel Dually. Well I was driving along minding my own business when the kid in an Avalanche with 22's decided to try to race me. Well lets just say he got pimp slapped by the 10,000 pound dually. So him and his buddy pull off and I stop to talk to them. Well they proceeded to yell that fords were a piece of shit and bounced the Avalanche off the rev-limiter repeatedly for about 30 seconds. So then he went into why he lost and he said "it never dropped down, and it never took off." I was like yes I could tell that. So then he went on to tell me he had something that could beat my truck and so I said I had something that could beat him (I did this all in the name of fun, to egg them on). So he says he has a friend with a 10 second talon that would put 2,000 dollars down and race me. I was like okay, so the he said well actually his turbo isn't in his car right now, it's at home in his bedroom, but it's the size of your mirror (the Mirrors on F-350s are mighty big). "He is trying to set the stock turbo world record, he's running 10.81's." Oh yeah he said he did all this with just an intake, intake manifold, and exhaust. I was like wow thats really fast (trying to hold back laughter). This is the best part though, he then told me his friend had a WRX with a stock bottom and top end and he revved it to 11 grand every day. lol. Sorry if this post is a little confusing, I was confused and still am after that. I was just in utter shock. But remember a WRX can safely rev higher than an S2000.

How can he run 10's with a turbo sitting in his room? Why do people love to brag about their friends cars?

I hope you were not inclined to believe him. That is the biggest joke I have heard in a long, long time. An Avalanche with 22" wheels, that says it all.

11,000rpm only? My Honda can do 19k everyday.

But it won't move.

I'm confident a stock WRX COULD rev to 11K RPM's...once anyways.
