hey cmi, nice bike. looks exactly like mine.
i have had my svs up into redline in 5th gear (120mph give or take a few...anyone know what redline in 5th is exactly.) and damn did it get there fast. the gears are soo friggin short on the svs. im sure if you widened them some, but not much, this bike could maxout mid 130's low 140's without losing much exceleration at all.

125 mph top speed specs from Suzuki.
I just never went over 126 mph, that was fast enough in west Texas back roads.
I'm not hear to argue with people about top speed, get hit by a truck at 20 mph and then come talk to me.
120 mph is easily obtained even with my weight of 210lbs in the middle of the bike.

I just completed the AMA Motorcycle Safety course two weeks ago, second time ever riding a motorcycle. First time was on my brother dirt bike Honda CRF450R, to make a long story short, I tore a 7 foot strip in the front lawn and scared the crap out of myself and my brother...that was not the way to learn.
But I have to recommend taking the course, it's probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. Now I'm hooked and I'm looking to buy a used bike.... looking for a Yamaha FZR600 or Honda F2 or something similar.

american motorcyle safety foundation. there are several links from hondas website to help you find a course near by.
I was lucky and went to a honda facility and took my class there. Very nice!
