Had a good time today at the event! They had around 40-50 C7 stingrays there. Lots of pics and video to come soon. Let me know if you have any questions about the car and I'll try to answer them!

some pics from the event!
right next to the track, I saw these signs on someones property.. had to take a pic.
this was the seminar section
nice lounge area with free food. greek yogurt in this case
me in the c7 for the first time!!
close up of part of the headlight. I noticed the corvette emblem on it which I thought was cool.

here's a quick video of some light revving starting on track mode, and then switching to touring mode. The exhaust note is noticeably quieter in modes under sport/track http://s88.photobucket.com/user/mons...ea83a.mp4.html

hmm.. idk. It kinda felt how I assumed it would feel. All cars as far as I know had the z51 package with dual mode exhaust and magnetic ride. Let me just list a few things I didn't like about the car
1. the traction control is way too intrusive, even on track mode
2. every time you go to get out of the car you have to press a button to unlock the door before pressing another button to open the door
3. the button you press to unlock the door seems flimsy. when you push it, the door panel pushes in easily with it
4. the cup holder are very cheap looking/feeling plastic.
5. the steering seemed a little light but they say their is an adjustment in the control center to make it stiffer.
6. the car sits too high for my liking. I read on the corvette forum their is an adjustment to lower the car about an inch from the factory but the head of the corvette brand told me you can't adjust it.
some things I liked
1. the DBW wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it's still no cable.
2. the car sounds nice in track mode
3. gear changes are low effort and smooth
4. the car feels pretty well planted
5. it looks good. I like how low and raked back the windshield is
6. also, the hard top is easily removable and stored in the trunk.

Monticello is an awesome track. Did you drive the full course? (It was hard to tell from the video where you were on the track.)
If so, did you drive the downhill straight into turn 1 (hammerhead)? It's hard on the brakes followed by a very quick left-right transition. How did the car handle this section?
