Thanks for the input and what you have said is correct. I picked up my bike on Tuesday and have to break it in so the dealership said to shift at 6-7k for the first 100 miles. I can tell that the bike has a lot of potential above that and owning a S2000 I am use to having my power on the top end.

I was thinking about getting a 954RR, and rode my friends around, but the 600RR works for me because I do mostly canyon riding and the 600RR is better for that.

Oh and I agree that the GSXR 1000 is not a good bike for a persons 1st bike. That thing is wicked for a new rider.

my advice, buy an f4i. almost as fast, way easier to ride.
