I read somewhere that Hyundai overtook Honda in 2008 to become the 5th largest automaker in the world, by volume; behind Toyota, GM, VW, and Ford. In 2007, it used to be 10th. What a huge jump!

Also, I've heard VW is "planning" on overtaking Toyota as the world's largest in about 10 years. How can they foresee the future? What if Toyota will keep growing? What if VW actually will shrink in the future?

What Hyundai would anyone here buy over a Honda, given your choice of just those 2 makes?

 

i'd buy a genesis coupe over a civic, rwd ftw

I'd also rather have a Genesis sedan over an Accord.

 

The current Sonata has awesome suspension. Double a arm front, and multilink rear FTW!

 

I'd drive the Genesis V8 over most Hondas.
