I don't know anything about the Lexus and Acura supercars but likely they're not going to be less than $100K in the next few years not even sure when they are going to be out.

$100,000 is too much to spend on cars.
Meh, we have 18 year-olds working minimum wage jobs buying S2000s... that's people making $25k per year buying $25k cars....

How is that different from someone making $100k buying a $100k car?

(Or someone making $200k buying a $100k car....)

He's looking for advice on what cars you'd buy with that money, not whether you'd spend $100k on cars....

I'd pick something AWD with vestigial back seats if only one car.

911 Turbo (maybe even cabrio)

If two cars:

Audi S5 ~$50-55k new.

Cayman S ~$50k loaded, used.

997 Turbo if they drop in price that much would be great.

I like the idea of a S5 or RS5 (M3 or GT_R) for comfort/sport with a side Cayman or Elise to replace my S2000.

If I go with 2 cars, I could spend a bit more as the S2000 trade in ~$18K, also I'd wait a bit more for the second car.

Such as S5 in 2 years (keep the S2000) then Cayman S two years later (replace the S2000) that would be 4+ years til the Cayman and maybe they will be cooked up a bit more by then.

Two cars would be easier to swallow even if they cost more since I could buy at different times. I'd be passing up the 'dream car' and instead getting 'very nice' cars.

The interior of the new S5 is amazing. A very nice place to daily drive in.

The extra performance of the 911 TT over an S5 may be overkill in daily driving anyway. Having an S4 and RS4 in our garage, they're interchangeable in 90% of daily driving situations.

And the S5 retains some of the modern styling of the R8 without being a gaping idiot attention-magnet.

It gets the RS4 steering wheel and shifter, too....

We probably would have bought one instead of the RS4 if they were out already.

First I would keep my S2000, and make her a daily driven street warrior (nice quality jdm parts). Then for my second pleasure car (I'd consider the S a pleasure car still), I'd be stuck between the new GTR, M3, and C6 Z06. And with the money leftover, I'd get an Ariel Atom or used Elise for track use.

Cliffnotes: Beautifully modded S2000, GTR or M3 or Z06 for weekends and going out, and an Ariel Atom or Elise for my track whore needs.

I'd find some way to squeeze a 997 convertible and an 07 Escalade into that budget.

if not an Escalade, then I'll settle for an Avalanche

Either the 09 or 2010 Nissan GTR or the new F10 BMW 5-series sedan, if I have the kind of money by then.
