The Fit is about $2000 cheaper than the Civic LX and better equipped (aka things such as alloy rims vs steel). Fits are rated about the same in mpg but have been getting 40+ mpg by drivers (not bad since they are rated for 35). But the key is that the Fit is monumentally better to drive in every way over a Civic LX. I test drove them back to back. I dont own a hybrid but I do have a Fit. It has payed for itself plus some not driving our Titan. That includes payments and insurance on both vehicles.
