Speak for yourself.
Give me a Viper or Z06 anyday. The saleen is piece of crap. Anyone who knows about Stevie "Wonder" Saleen's business practices nowadays knows he and his cars are for chumps! (save the S7)

Sorry dude, I like being caught up in the hp/liter hype. The whole point of the F20C is to pay respect to Honda's history of making high-revving motorcycle engines.
Everybody already respects the LS1- it's the rest of a GM car that is crappy, no offense to GM owners but that is just the opinion of most people that I know.

I, for one, being a C5 owner, love my LS1 and the absolute reliability I've experienced with the ENTIRE car. It's been the best car purchase I've ever made.
That said, I fully respect the S2000 and the F20C motor. Variety is the spice of life and both the LS1/6 and the F20C have their place in the world each supported by legions of supporters.
Without technological innovation, things would get boring really fast. By having so many automakers pursuing the car buying public in so many different innovative ways, it gives all us the opportunity to buy a car that suits our specific needs and wants.
I don't think the LS1/6 is better than the F20C and I don't think the F20C is better than the LS1/6. Why? Because they both have their attributes that appeal to a specific type of enthusiast.

Wow, thought this would turn into a slagfest and instead I'm seeing reasoned posts!
Wombat, are you sure of the weight numbers? Any others to share. I'd love to see a bunch.
I do in general agree that Hp/L is about bragging rights. And demonstrating engine prowess. But I still admit to being impressed by the F20C's number.
Bottom line for me is which is lighter, takes up less actual (not cylinder) volume, which can be placed more favorably for weight distn, NVH, throttle response, sound (a big factor for me), and cost (hopefully passed on to the customer but by no means assured).
Pushrods put up lousy hp/L numbers, but are simpler, cheaper, lighter, have less friction and similar torque to an equivalent displacement (but higher hp) DOHC. Personally, I prefer the DOHC's. But I think pushrods are unfairly given short shrift.

Nope, its a comparative brick. Outside of the SUV's in Honda's lineup (and maybe not all of them), its got the worst Cd of any Honda. That upright windshield, steep rear angle on the softop (and that very softop itself) and relatively untrimmed underbody don't do it any favors.
