I don't give a shit how good a Lexus maybe.
It's still not a Jag, BMW, Mercedes.
Know amount of reliabilty surveys will get them the prestige.
When i see a Lexus driver, i see a perso who couldn't afford a European or who doesn't know what class is.

Your post reads as if it came from someone who can't afford a new vehicle from any of the marques you referenced.
Our Lexus has been phenomenal. My '03 Mercedes was a POS and I was glad the lease was only 24 months.
We just bought a new Infiniti - not because we couldn't afford something European - because we liked it better.
My definition of class would include some level of proficiency with regard to written communcation.
