how much should i pay for a 95 civic?

Default how much should i pay for a 95 civic?

hey i am planing on buying a cheap beater. its a 95 civic ex coupe. The condition of the car is good with 160,00 miles. Everything on the car works and looks ok just the paint its alittle fadded cause its red. How much would you guys pay for it? He wants $2500 and he wont go lower. PASS OR PURCHASE?

You could probably find one with similar mileage for $500 less.. but it's not a horrible deal.

for 160k+ miles i'll say 500 to 1k, depending on the motor/tranny, that car is about 500-1000 at a private auction, dealers pad the price to 1500-2500, you might be able to talk him down to 1500

need more information but buy it anyways.

is it a dx,ex,del sole, the cx and vx get better gas milage and are higher priced
any rust
is the interior worn
verify the vin#
did you see the title?
condition of the battery and exhaust

seems these days everyone is looking for a 5th gen civic so the prices are high.

has the owner kept up the maintenance? talk him down say you will need to change the timing belt and he should reduce the cost accordingly.

Those are dealer auction prices....and thats about right for a rough-average condition 94 civic.
