It's a good way to break in a new car.

Thats freaking incredible. You sure your comrade didnt get it for the price on an EX?
Same price as an LX (price difference between the EX and SIs on the lot isn't that substantial), but admittedly he knew a guy and just at that right time the dealership wanted to unload their sedans as they were not selling. I wouldn't expect to get that price, but the fact remains that deals are out there for the sedan. I imagine the coupe to be harder to come by since it's hard enough as it is to source one in your color choice let alone get a deal on it. Could you imagine how hard itd be to get white or silver?

How's the insurance on the Si? I like the car quite a bit for just over invoice. I was very iffy when the dealers are asking over sticker. Nice but not that nice.

when I checked, if I bought an Si, my insurance would go up from 290/ 6 mo to 400/ 6 months. I was rather surprised that it would be that much more than the S.

Newer car = higher insurance costs

Obviously, but a convertible, two seater? I figured they would be a little more equal.

pull quotes for reference. either progressive or geico i think give you quotes. tell em you want a quote for your S, then for a new SI, then a used SI. compare that to your rate and you have an accurate answer. if you get lucky, you might even drop your payments!
