put me in the NO slot please. Fit & finish is not a Lotus attribute where as Honda usually shines in that department. The biggest reason though is the one piece body thingy. Ready for a $9K fender bender?

I would if it's even money or less than $10K difference. Already have a daily driver so don't really need a practical car.

i've beeen considering it as my next car, however, I believe that from a price point, I would much rather have a used 05 or 06 corvette than a used elise. By the time I am ready to buy they will both be in hte same range

I love the Elise...plus my daughter's name is Elise. SO it'd be a great car to buy for me.. But I'm a big guy and don't even fit in my S2000. I'd probably not fit in the Elise or it'd be very hard to get in and out of. I have to go test drive one tho to make sure.

I'm worried about the fit and finish, and the reliability since my Honda has been dead reliable.

I would like to change, and the Elise would'nt be a bad choice. But it'd be more of a week-end car while my S2000 is more of my DD so I may have to get a DD first and then an Elise...

I'd also have to consider a C6 or a BS. I think if I went for a vette it'd have to be a Z06.

My problem with trading up is I'd cost me a lot over my S2000, so do I take that money and trade 1-for-1 or take that money and get a nice DD and keep the S2000 which I still like and so far has had zero problems? With a new sports car I may not be so lucky.

If I'd go for a newElise it'd cost $30K plus my trade, the Boxster S it'd cost me $40K plus my trade or a Z06 it'd cost me $50K plus my S2000 trade. That'd get me a heck of a nice DD plus keep my S2000.

I think i am in the same boat.... nothing like 400hp and a pile of torque vs the torque of a good blender.

On a daily basis I doubt I would be "racing" people through turns anyway so the little bit that the vette gives up there is more than made up for with big hp!
