My girlfriend, although she might as well be a significant other, bought her S this year. It was 100% of her income, but only 50% of our household income. My S is paid off. Her brother is probably going to pay it off, so there's no interest payment and a buffer if we ever run into unexpected circumstances. We both graduate in less than a year.
My car is pretty much my ONLY hobby except for video games. My girlfriend also is pretty conservative with money and buying clothes. Maybe once a month she'll spend $100.

I can definitely relate to that. Instead of making two large car payments, we make one small one, and put most of our liquid into savings. It feels like we're broke, but all I have to do is look in the savings and stock accounts to feel better..

Same here, my wife is now a nurse manager and has passed me up this tax year lol (by more then I expected to). Suger momma ftw.

keep it simple, it all depends on if you can afford it after your other bills, like my sister for example making 110k a year gross, she bought a 15k a car, and her rent is 450 a month, just gas insurance phone bills groceries and such, when you buy a car, you buy it because you want it, not for an investment, so the amount of money you're losing is up to you, "does the depreciation bother me, will it give me the amount of joy i'd like".

The girl I've been seeing for a while has an inheritance she cant touch until she's 30(another 7yrs). At that point it would have been an inheritance that accrued interest for 30yrs. Lambo, here I come....just kidding. I'm in my 20's and I think I'm still too young to be deciding who to spend the rest of my existence with..yiikes.

speaking of wide salary range,as an Airline Pilot I started, yes started at $20,000.00 my first year ( after I spent 30k on training) to potentially over $300,00.00k A year as a UPS pilot..............

My advice to you.... get 'em while they're young. All the good girls are taken by the time they're 24. If you wait until you're older (late 20's, 30's, 40's), then you better be sure you have what it takes to grab one of the youngin's, otherwise you'll be stuck with whatever is left. That's the position I'm finding myself in (I'm about to turn 31). Most of the girls that are about my age and are still single are pretty defective (unattractive, overweight, materialistic, needy, crazy, damaged or some combination of these).
