Bought a Si after my GS-R was stolen because I couldn't afford a WRX. The main problem with the Si is that the stock tires are absolute crap. My GS-R was stock other then a ground control / Koni suspension and a filter on a stick. I miss my GS-R even if it had 168k miles on it because of it's 8100 redline. If the Si had the Type S motor in it I'd be happy camper. I'm happy with the stock suspension but I'll change it once the shocks wear out.

The other thing the Si doesn't do like the GS-R is get decent gas mileage when cruising at 85 on the interstate. I've gotten as low as 24mpg (23.8 to be exact) on I35 with no a/c , the GS-R always got at least 28. On the other hand I've gotten as high as 31 mpg in the city, something the GS-R never did. My theory is that gas mileage drops like a rock when one cruises at 4000 rpm (78 mph) or higher. Haven't been patient enough to test it yet.

It'll spin the speedometer up to 135 before it runs out of breath.

One owners opinion after 18,300 miles

I seen one run 15.5 in the 1/4 stock. that is my only experience with one.
