So, much for the competition at this point. GT2 RS time is bogus as it was time stitched (best sector time added together). Also, no independent witness and no video. No other production street car has gone this fast to date.

Can't wait for the comments.

Also, please note this is with Jim Mero driving. He is an AWESOME driver, but he is not Jan Magnusson. If Magnusson gets a clean lap, the time will be even better.

Gotta love the new tires for the ZR1. My first set is about gone with 4 track days and around town driving, so I can't wait to try out these new tires.

Took a little longer to get to 180 than I thought it would, but it did appear to be uphill. Pretty impressive for stock suspension settings, etc.

The GT2's engine is in the rear, whereas a ZR1 is a mid-engined car, thus giving it an extreme advantage.

Grats though?

Wow - sustained 1.3g in the corners with peaks of 1.7g on flat corners and over 2.0g in the banking. Insane!

Five bucks says he thinks that we are arguing that it's actually front engine and not mid engined and he's planning a long winded, "Well actually it's behind the front wheels, blah, blah, blah."

Car talk should have an entry exam.

That really sounds like a crazy lap time. Secondly, I would have shitted my pants if I had to take a corner at 180. lol
