My point was simply that you shouldn't make such broad assumptions. For all we know, he could be '02 Toyota Atlantic champion, signed onto the McLaren Formula 3000 team next year!

I think the pricing differential between a nicely loaded SL 500 and a SL 55 is probably the closest in the AMG line. A nicely loaded SL 500 will be in the $90K range while the AMG SL55 will be in the mid $110K's (about $115K-$118K). I guess that is in proportion given that you can get a nicely loaded E500 for mid $50K's but a E55 for $80K's. In proportion that is a bargain. OK, I'm really grasping at straws here, but the SL55 is still a bargain to me considering it will run fender to fender with a 911TT, Z06 (OK it's much more expensive but very different cars), and Ferrari 360.
