Shame, Honda! Looks like a blatant copy of design from the Prius. At least be more original.

Maybe, just maybe, that shape is dictated by the best possible aerodynamics in a 4 dr. sedan/hatch.

I was surprised that this was such a knockoff of the Prius body shape too, but then again I think this might be the direction that most practical cars are going to head in the coming years. That shape is very space efficient and aerodynamic -- it's basically the direction designers have been predicting for years, but I guess nobody really wanted to buy until the Prius broke the mold. Check out this Italdesign concept from the 70s:

Dont even bother man. Some people just cant get it through their thick skull. Very fuel efficient cars have to look like that!! I was car shopping for my niece two weeks ago. I was shocked at how poor the Scion XB's mileage was. I'm sure the shape had much to do with it.

I think you're the one with the thick Neanderthal skull.

Many cars with excellent aerodynamic designs do not have to look like that. Examples: the Fit doesn't look like that; now put a hybrid engine in there to get similar or better mpg. The original Insight didn't look like that; now expand the car to make bigger and improve other things. I can go on and on.

Neanderthals shouldn't be throwing rocks in glass houses.
